Tacos may be crispy, soft or made with flour tortillas. Fillings may include scrambled eggs, all types of meat or beans. One filling is:

Picadillo (Mexican Hash)

1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon oil
1 clove garlic - chopped fine
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
In skillet, brown meat, onion and garlic in oil. Add salt and pepper. Add enough water to cover meat. Let simmer until water has evaporated. Tomato sauce may be added with the water for additional flavor and color.
