2 cups flour
1 tsp. Salt
3/4 cup solid all-vegetable shortening
1/2 cup ice water

In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender and add ice water. Blend until dough "cleans" the bowl and is no longer sticky. Divide dough in half.

On a floured surface, roll out each crust 1 inch larger than a 9-inch pan. Press into pie pans and bake as directed in recipes.

To bake unfilled crust, prick bottom of crust with fork tines and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450 degrees F.
